Need to refuel after your ride? We are still open for business despite the Garnier Raod closure,

The Handlebar Café based just outside  Winchester.

Whether you're a bike enthusiast or just a coffee lover, we're serving great coffees and delicious food.

In September 2019, we opened The Handlebar Café, it was designed by a group of young people with an interest in Architecture, coordinated by SPUD and we are delighted to welcome you to this amazing building, a fantastic  social hub for Winchester.

Then we had Covid and now we have a long term road closure!

You couldn't write it!

Come and enjoy and wide variety of tasty breakfasts and lunch, comfort food and healthy dishes, plus vegan and vegetarian options, freshly baked pastries and cakes, a wide selection of hot and cold drinks. We also stock Jude's Ice cream.

Please note: that towards the end of the day we offer takeaway only. Well behaved Dogs are welcome on leads.

There is no customer WIFI in the cafe.  We want you to connect with the environment and each other rather than devices.

Monday - Wednesday 8:30 am - 4:30pm
Thursday -Sunday 8:30 am - 5:30pm

Low season we close at 4:30pm high season we are open till 5:30pm

Available all year round 24/7 For those DIY repairs or when we are closed, you'll be pleased to know that we have our own Fix-it station. Free to use for simple fixes and for firming up those tyres.

The Handlebar Cafe is situated on Garnier Road (currently closed to motor vehicles) .

There is a very small, popular car park, but we advise our customers who must drive to park in the FREE bays at St Catherine's Park & Ride (near J10 M3).  Park as far to the left as you can, and follow the short foot/cycle path through to Garnier Road.
